New Paintings for 2017

So, things have settled down a bit at the new homestead in Frankfort and just in time!  I was able to finish a fourth painting just yesterday and delivered all four to Synchronicity Gallery in Glen Arbor today.  Below are images of the new paintings:

Inspired by a large dune in Sleeping Bear Dunes and the stars of our own galaxy.

"Orange Cloud Sunset Over Lake Michigan"  acrylic on plywood  15 x 60

"Leaf Shadows"  oil, acrylic, colored pencil on canvas  20 x 44

From memories of mountains, lakes and moonlight except for the leaf shadows which are exactly as they appeared on the canvas as I was working outside on the deck one summer's day.

"Some Summer's Night"  oil, acrylic and colored pencil on canvas  36 x 50

The trees are from photos taken on our property.  The nebula is inspired by the "Fighting Dragons Nebula".
